Your information belongs to you.
When you use your Piece My Pay account, what you save in it (your jobs, shifts, payslips and the documents you upload) is stored on our servers, which Railway runs for us in the United States, so it's there when you come back.
A few other services do part of the work. Clerk handles signing in, so it keeps your email address and password; we never see your password. OpenAI reads the payslips and pay documents you ask us to read. It doesn't use them to train its models, and under its terms keeps them for at most 30 days to check for misuse. Nothing it finds is used until you've checked it. If you subscribe, Stripe takes the payment, and we never see your card number. These services are also based in the United States, so your information is stored and handled outside Australia.
Sensitive pay information
Everything you send us travels over an encrypted connection. Uploaded files are checked for viruses and kept in private storage, never at a public web address. Your jobs, documents, payslips and shifts are tied to your account, and the app shows them only to you. Our logs record technical events, such as errors and how long things take, not the contents of your documents or your pay. You can delete your documents, payslips and shifts at any time. If your paid access ends, we keep your saved work for a set time so you can come back, then delete it: the subscription policy says how long.
Visits, the waitlist and messages
We count visits to our website without cookies and without keeping your IP address: each day your network and browser are turned into a scrambled code that can't be traced back to you or matched with another day. Your browser keeps its own note of where you first came from (such as Instagram or a search) and shares it with us only if you join the waitlist or create an account. If you leave your email on the waitlist, we use it only to tell you when sign-ups open, and we'll remove it if you ask. Messages you send PIA, the chat in your account, or the “Need help?” form are read by the Piece My Pay team and kept with your account. A screenshot you add is checked for viruses, kept privately, seen only by our team, and deleted 90 days after your request is resolved.
